Where it Started
I first started out on piczo.com [I don't even remember the site.] All thanks to a good old friend who I now have a huge...hate towards her. But she introduced me to Piczo back in late 2006 and I was a fan of the Jonas Brothers so I made some crappy graphics of them and used those dumb glitters (which I now have a huge passionate hate towards those glitters) and I came across neopets.com when I was at a Summer Camp at the YMCA called 'Summer Odyssey'. I signed up and ended up making about 10 accounts before it was all over with just to Practice HTML cause I came across this amazing site which is now off of neopets like I am and this site is my huge inspiration right now....innocense.org Yep. Zoe from Innocense.org has been my inspiration. I learned HTML from her codes on neopets. Since then, i've become quite the little expert at HTML & CSS but, i'll never forget where I started. My first place on the internet, my first time learning HTML, and the first person I learned from.
Whats With The Name?
"Retro Smiles? Is that possible?" Well, Honestly? I'm not all that sure its possible to have retro smiles but, I came across this name randomly while thinking. I was trying to get rid of all my Neopet site names cause, well, they were childish. And i'm growing up and I thought well, my site name should start growing up with me. So I had these old site names on neopets like..."Jobro Luv's Graphix" , "Rewind" , "Twisted Dezignz" and i'm pretty sure thats all I came up with on 3 pet pages. But I also had a review site for neopet sites, "Cold Kiss Reviews" . yes, Cold Kiss. I was a strong rater for all those neopets kids because most of the people who applied, well, sucked. XP But When I finally moved off of neopets, my first graphic site off neo was "Gabby Gurl's Graphix" and that was also on Webs.com . Now of course, I don't use that because Its pointless. But, my most successful was Twistedezignz.webs.com My last update on that was Late June of '09 cause I was trying to get back into it. But then I decided, "Wait, I'll just use Retro Smiles because it was already up to date unlike this one" and I did. Most of my sites have come to a retirement. I'm sad to say that this baby will too, eventually. But we all have to grow up and move on. Which I hope will happen a little later. Right now, this is my baby.
